School design planning involves the creation of a master plan drawn up for the school campus as a whole. This plays an important role in creating a vision for the school. We have worked on projects with international architects and investors. We understand the intricacies of this process. Our partners & consultant architects bring in rich experience & expertise to make this rewarding.
The three main aspects of design planning:
1. Pre-design: The project leader with the help of our school consultants establishes the goals and the design criteria of the project. We note down the specifications of the project and creates an architectural plan for the school. It involves establishing a schedule and creating the initial budget for the school. Site selection may also be a part of this exercise. The conceptual design is developed to provide a blueprint for the new school.
2. Schematic Design: The general designs of the buildings are created; floor plans, images of what the future school. The overall shape and style of the school are created, space usage and the interior layout is finalized by the end of schematic design. These exercises also push the school promoters to articulate their needs and expectations.
3. Design Development: During design development, the details of the school building are fleshed out. Projects tend to grow in cost, quality, and scope during this phase unless clients lose sight of their budgets and vision. We understand that the challenge is to match the two.
A 1000+ student school building with no walls – and everyone loves the school! Ørestad Gymnasium in Denmark has no walls, no classrooms and spaces that are only loosely defined by permeable borders.
