In 50 years, the world changed 100%
Not only has the world’s population doubled in just the last 50 years, the migration to urban centres has also increased from 36% to 57%. There is a need for change in schools too.
This has created an immense demand on human lives – to collaborate and work together than to compete, to be creative and to look at problems in a totally new way. The flow of ideas in adults must now be communicated in such a way that it creates an impact.
Schools need to change to adjust to this new scenario. No longer is it enough to just cover a prescribed curriculum, schools need to go beyond. They need to engrain life skills in students and the ability to solve real-life problems. They need to give students a wide experience, outside the classroom too. Most importantly, schools need to ensure students understand the challenges of the 21st century and are prepared to face it.
Therefore, the design and method of operations of schools in urban areas needs to change.
With our years of experience working with schools, we have seen these changes in schools from close quarters and can guide on all aspects of decision making related to schools.
